Tour Salvador Bahia - Cultura Africana
We will meet in front of the Cathedral Basilica of San Salvador and begin a walking tour to learn about the influence and legacy of African culture in Salvador, Bahia. First, we will go to Terreiro de Jesus, where we will learn about the history of the colonization of this region of Brazil, from the work of the Jesuit Missions to Portuguese colonization. We will also get to know some African figures who were active in Salvador throughout history. We will continue our walk through the center to the Cruz de São Francisco. There, we will tell you about the emergence, in the 19th century, of a men's organization whose aim was to help the Black community of Salvador in its fight for freedom. We will also learn about other important aspects of African culture, such as samba and capoeira. The rhythms will surely make you want to dance! Finally, we will visit the Escola do Olodum, an Afro-descendant cultural and educational center, where we will learn about the importance of Carnival in the city. After three hours of sightseeing, we will end the guided tour at the Cruz de São Francisco.

Tour gastronômico por Salvador
At the indicated time, we will meet in front of the Casa do Benin museum to begin this food tour of Salvador. Are you ready?
After a brief introduction to the cuisine of Salvador, a city known as the Black Rome, we will begin a walk through the Santo Antônio neighborhood. We will see its colorful streets and then head to the Casa da Vovó restaurant, where we will taste acarajé. This recipe, made with bean dough, was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Salvador.
The next stop will be the Zanzibar restaurant. At this place, always frequented by Bahian artists who sing the songs of Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, we will have a typical drink: ginger batida, which we will taste while enjoying traditional music from the Northeast of Brazil.
Finally, after a three-hour route, we will finish this food tour of Salvador at Bar Ulisses. There, we will eat a traditional dish, which, depending on the season, will be moqueca, feijoada or cozido. Enjoy your meal!
